The ReConcile Center is a community dedicated to finding Proactive Solutions to solving the problem of software piracy within the Pro Audio Software Industry.
This is a place for the Cracked Musician/Producer to come and feel welcomed without the fear of judgement or ridicule as they work their way down the road to legitimacy.
Beginners are always welcomed to come and learn how to legitimately set themselves off on the right path to making music on a budget.
This is NOT a place to discuss pirating software of any kind. Think of this place as a Rehab for musicians and producers using cracked software. Anyone discovered to be a part of the continuation of the problem at this message board will be banned. Your activities else where are your business.
Why would a special place like this be needed? Can't they just stop?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) There is a very deep prejudice towards those who use cracked software releases over commercial versions regardless of intent. It is widely agreed that the user will 'Try before they buy' though it is claimed most never do.
2) Some people just do not feel comfortable in the 'legit' boards for many reasons including attitudes and the treatment they receive. Anyone ever banned as a 'Warez Kiddie' knows what this means.
3) There are times when a person will experience a bug or glitch in the system but will be afraid to ask anyone for help because of their position. In the end they may not actually purchase the software because they did not know whether it was from a faulty crack or a legit glitch. Two situations come to mind regarding Superior Drummer 2.0, and Studio One.
Superior Drummer, it seems, installs itself containing only one library of sounds, while indicating that there are a few libraries missing. Studio One has a tiny little mascot of a voodoo doll that pops up when it tries to establish and online connection during its load menus. Both of these things have lead people to question the software and truncate their use because it's just not cool to show up asking about a problem at a developers official website that would have been clear and simple if the user had taken another route.
These are just a few among several reasons why a neutral ground is necessary. So in the great DAW & Plugin wars of our generation we are Switzerland.
